Day 1: Arrival in Goa

Welcome to India! When you land at Goa airport, our guide will greet you at the arrivals hall and escort you to your hotel. Then, place to relax on the golden beaches. You will sunbathe in Calangute and Candolim, and you will discover the tasty cuisine of Goa. This state is famous for its seafood and its delicious recipes with crab, shrimp, squid, lobster and oysters. The Portuguese have greatly influenced Indian cuisine and especially that of Goa, a former colony which proudly preserves this distant heritage. You will watch the sunset on Baga beach, which is very busy after dark. There you will dine by candlelight listening to the gentle sound of the waves. Night at the hotel.

Day 2: Goa

After breakfast, you will visit Old Goa, famous for its wonderful Portuguese heritage, and especially for its churches. You will explore Saint Catherine’s Cathedral (one of the largest in Asia). You will also see the first Indian basilica, that of Bom Jesus, which contains the remains of Saint-François-Xavier. You will stroll through the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, whose winding streets from the Portuguese era are reminiscent of those of many old European cities. There are villas and old buildings with roofs covered with red tiles and colorful balconies. You will spend the rest of the day on the bay of Dona Paula, where the Mandovi and the Zuari join the Arabian Sea. Enjoy the pleasures of sailing, swimming, parasailing or windsurfing! Night at the hotel.

Day 3: Goa

After a relaxing morning on the beach, you’ll explore Fort Aguada and the lighthouse. This fortified complex dating from 1612 covers the entire southern peninsula of Bardez (more than 35 hectares) and majestically dominates the Arabian Sea. With a strategic location at the mouth of the Mandovi, the fort served to protect the Portuguese against the Dutch and Maratha invaders. You will spend the rest of the day on Morjim beach. The one that is nicknamed “little Russia” is the nesting place of turtles but also a privileged site to observe the very rich avian fauna of Goa. Night at the hotel.

Day 4: Goa

It will head south to explore superb white sand beaches. Far from the hustle and bustle of the north, this region offers a serene atmosphere, a green setting and luxurious hotel complexes. You will first reach the beach of Mobor. You will walk quietly along the creek, between the palm trees and the ponds covered with water lilies. It is also a popular place for adventure enthusiasts. Among the fantastic activities on offer: cruises to observe dolphins, underwater fishing, towed buoys, parasailing or even water skiing. You can also go jet-skiing in Majorda. The day will end on the peaceful beach of Varca, where you can embark on a boat ride in the setting sun. Night at the hotel.

Day 5: Goa, Dudhsagar Falls Excursion

You will spend the morning exploring the beautiful quiet beach of Cavelossim. The black rock and white sand give a mystical charm to this haven of peace. After that, head to Dudhsagar Falls, on the border between Goa and Karnataka. Dudhsagar means “sea of milk”, and this pristine white waterfall lives up to its name. Nestled in the heart of the deciduous forests of the Bhagwan Mahavir Reserve and Mollem National Park, it is one of the largest in the region. You will also discover Devil’s Canyon, Tambdi Surla Temple and Tambdi Falls. From sunset to dusk, you will contemplate the picturesque panorama offered by the Mollem National Park. Back in Goa, you are free to enjoy the evening. Night at the hotel.

Day 6: Goa

The morning will be free. After that, head for Loutolim to observe the wonderful architectural remains of Goa inherited from the glorious Portuguese era. Loutolim is a tiny town in the south of the state where a community of Hindus and Christians leads a harmonious existence. Another interesting place: the Ancestral Goa Park which houses an important collection of sculptures illustrating the local way of life. Opposite is the Casa Araujo Alvares. Almost 250 years old, it is one of the many beautiful Portuguese mansions in the region. Inside, you will discover elegant furniture highlighted by a small sound and light show. You will spend a relaxing evening on the beach. Night at the hotel.

Day 7: Goa

The end of your stay in Goa is approaching, you will enjoy the sun and the beach. You will relax with an Ayurvedic massage, unless you prefer to shiver while practicing water sports. It will also be an opportunity to discover the lively and colorful markets of Goa. Beachwear, T-shirts with batik prints or colored with the tie-dyeing technique, fancy accessories… You won’t be disappointed: there’s something for all tastes and all budgets. In the evening, you will dine quietly at the hotel or you will party. Night at the hotel.

Day 8: Departure from Goa

End of this trip. We will organize your transfer to Goa airport. If necessary, our representative will be at your disposal to help you when you free your room and to accompany you to the airport. We advise you to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before departure and to keep your passport and a paper version of your plane ticket handy to avoid last minute hassles.
